Learn New Things Printable | Fall One Room Challenge | Week 4

October is flying by! I can't believe it will be November next week. Thankfully the weather has been clear and warm and sunny here, which has been great for painting projects for the One Room Challenge. Things are moving along, although I don't have much (again!) to show as progress for the actual room, but the tiny details are coming together...like this "Learn New Things" wall art I made. I want to share the printable with you, it's free to print out. (You can find the link below.) The frame I made is a very easy DIY, and only took me about 5 minutes from start to finish. Let's get started!

This is such a simple and easy DIY project! You only need a few supplies to make it, and about 5 minutes to complete the project.

You will need:

- 2 Pieces of Wood
- Hot Glue (Double Sided Tape will work too!)
- Twine or Rope

Directions:

Step 1: Put glue (or double sided tape) on the top and bottom of the art, face up.

Step 2: Carefully place the wood pieces on the paper and glue.

Step 3: Finish off by tying a piece of twine or rope on the top piece of wood so you can hang it.

Easy peasy right? Couldn't be more simple...my favorite kind of DIY.

Note: I had the wood pieces in my stash from a leftover project, but you can find similar wood pieces at Home Depot or Lowe's in the lumber department. These wood dowels are very similar too.

One Room Challenge Week 4 Update

We got our chairs this week... I thought they were going to come un-assembled and I would need to put them together, but thankfully they were ready to go! I am very happy with the quality of the chairs. They are very sturdy and well made, and will be able to stand up to kids. They paint finish is great too, and I have already had to wipe marker and crayon off of them (life with kids, right?). You can purchase the chairs here. We had a little snaffu and delay with building the closet desk. After the stomach bug from last week you'd think we would be good to go right? Wrong. The other child brought home a nasty cold from Sunday School, and ME, the mom that never gets sick was taken down by this snotty hot mess. Here's to hoping that we are DONE with the colds and bugs for at least another year. It's going to be a push to get the room done, but I'm really looking forward to next week when we have it (somewhat) finished. I did manage to cut some old fence boards for an art project I have planned for one of the walls. So at least it wasn't a completely wasted week!
