We're less than a couple of weeks away from Christmas, and I can't believe how quickly the holiday season is flying by! I love this time of year with the hustle and bustle and gift shopping. This year I've made it a priority to give gifts that are meaningful and will last beyond the week after opening them.

365 Bible Answers For Curious Kids
365 Bible Answers For Curious Kids is a Christian devotional book, written by Kathryn Slattery. My oldest (5 years old) is in that kid-stage in life where she asks about 500 million random questions per day. I knew she would love this devotional book when I saw it! 365 Bible Answers For Curious Kids is definitely geared towards elementary age children, and while my youngest (2.5 years old) enjoys reading books with big sis, it is still a little beyond her attention span. There aren't any illustrations in this book, the focus is on discussion. As a mom, I like books that can open a discussion with my child on topics that might not be something in our day-to-day routine. I like that the author uses scripture to back up the answers, and gives kids practical tips.
The topics in the devotional include: time; God; God's promises; Jesus; God's Holy Spirit; the Bible; the Old Testament; the New Testament; Christianity; prayer; the Church; Christian seasons, holidays, and traditions; being a Christian here and now; and eternity.
One feature of the book I like is that its a yearly devotional, but each devotion can be read at any time and was written to stand on it's own. There is a "want to know more" section that includes cross referencing section at the end of each devotion for kids that would like to expand on a topic. There is also a journal section at the end of the book that has several lined pages for kids to write their prayers and thoughts.
I definitely recommend having this book in your family library, and consider purchasing a copy for your church and Christian schools.
